Since graduating from the FUTURE Program at The University of Tennessee, Rockin’ Recipient Emma has started her second year in her position with a local preschool as an assistant in the 3, 4 & 5-year-old classrooms. Emma works Mon–Thurs 8:30–2:30. One of her favorite days is “Monday’s Movement Day” for all ages, when she’s in the gym all day helping kids shake their sillies out with songs and dance. Her other duties include setting up for snack time, pushing “non-nappers” in strollers, reading during story time, patting little backs during nap time, playing with the kids at recess, and helping with packing up and pick-up.

Emma’s mom says that it is “so rewarding to run into parents and kiddos who run up to her when we’re out about town saying, ‘Miss Emma, Miss Emma!!’ She is truly happy!”

Seems like those college Child Development classes are really paying off!!

And as if all that’s not enough, Emma also just finished her first Sprint Triathlon this summer!! This girl trained like a pro and actually crossed that finish line first overall! Her mom said, “Many tears were shed, believe me!”

We definitely do believe you!! Emma, you are amazing and we are so proud that you are going for your dreams!!
