I know, I know, facts can be kinda boring 😂 And I usually just speak from my heart and personal experience, but I thought I would back some of this up with some fun facts.

So many of our scholarship recipients here at Ruby’s Rainbow are drawn to early childhood education and working with kids. I think because they are so authentic, they can generally connect easily with others and bring so much warmth and compassion in this area. I have seen it firsthand with some of our Rockin’ Recipients working as teacher’s assistants and in preschool settings, and also just watching Ruby interact with others.

Some employers may have reservations about hiring someone with a disability, thinking they may not be able to meet performance standards, when – in fact – a Dupont study found that 92% of employees with disabilities rated average or better in job performance, compared to 90% of employees without disabilities. Another study showed that employees with disabilities are not absent any more than employees without disabilities.

So BAM!! 👊 Let’s get to hiring more peeps of ALL abilities!!

Happy Friday, y’all!
