At Ruby’s Rainbow, we always say “Life and learning don’t stop after high school.” That truth & philosophy was a major driving force behind our urge to provide post-secondary education scholarships to adult students with Down syndrome back in 2012, the first year we gave out scholarships – a driving force behind founding this organization: We knew high school graduation comes and goes, but life keeps rolling along, and our Rockin’ Recipients are proof of that again and again and again.

Well, here’s Michal Adams, one of our 2017 Rockin’ Recipients, who has reached yet another milestone in her life. Her sweet mom wrote to me: “We have had hard challenges last year as well the deaths of my Sister and First Cousin, two great women in our family who have crossed over.” ???????? I am so sorry to hear about the challenges, and especially those tremendous losses…yet look at Michal, just rockin’ and rollin’ along in her life, despite its many ups and downs. ????????

A few weeks ago I posted about Michal graduating from Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Carbon Community College with a certificate of completion in early childhood education training, and now we learn she’s also received the Star Performer Educational Achievement award ????????????

YOU GO, Michal!!! We are SO PROUD OF YOU!!! Read more about Michal here!
