Eeek I’m so proud of 2018 Rockin’ Recipient Rachel Mast!!! She is doing all kinds of amazing stuff, not least of which is rockin’ her freshman year in the Bear POWER program at Missouri State U!!!

So first she had her own post up on the Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services Blog, in honor of National Down Syndrome Awareness Month last month, and let me tell you it is ah-maaazzzing!!! Read it here!

She wrote about loving theatre and challenging herself to learn Shakespearean monologues ???????? AND about taking a pretend baby home as an assignment for parenting class, and after the baby cried 3 times during dinner, Rachel decided she doesn’t want to have kids ????❤️ (I swear everyone should babysit at some point – fake baby or real one – to get a realistic idea of what goes into parenting!!! But I digress!! ????????)

Rachel was also featured on Facebook by Olive Garden, where she works as a hostess – and are the pics of her there not the most adorbs ever?? Here’s their post!

Here’s one more thing that I just think is very cool: Rachel was the first person in Kansas to open an ABLE account after the ABLE Act passed. SO AWESOME. Rachel, we are so proud of you!! Keep on rockin’ it at Missouri State!!!
