Maxwell is attending his first year at Edgewood College to pursue a career in sales and marketing, but that’s not his biggest accomplishment. Earning 21 merit badges to become an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts is a difficult threshold to meet for anyone, but he was honored for obtaining an incredible 57 merit badges. Less then 3% of all Scouts are able to meet the requirements of becoming an Eagle Scout!!

Down Syndrome is not the only challenge Max has faced in his life. He overcame open-heart surgeries at four-months-old that required him to receive two units of blood and two blood platelets. His Eagle Scout program had him organize three blood drives that ultimately helped hundreds of people. Max’s Eagle Scout blood drive was so successful that he was asked on four separate occasions to organize additional blood drives. He has recruited 32 new donors and collected over 100 units of blood.

We are so proud of you Maxwell and cannot wait to see what career path you decide to take! No doubt all of these experiences will lead to something amazing and any employer would be lucky to have you!!
