We picked them up from school today and exclaimed “we are going for ice cream!” We left out the part that we were swinging by to get Ruby’s yearly blood draw first. ???? Historically it takes a few tries and there is lots of crying while we hold her down (breaking my heart) and sing songs really loud and crazy-like to distract her (anyone else have to do this?????) and by the time we leave every single one of us is exhausted….but….not today. She marched right in there and said “I’m excited!” She let her stuffy go first, and then sat on my lap and only had one small moment of freak out right before they did it but Daddy worked his distraction magic and before we knew it the whole thing was over.

She was chatting it up with the Phlebotomist the entire time about how she was going to tell Fiona all about this tomorrow and she wanted to have a play date soon and when they put her big neon pink bandaid she requested on told everyone “Thanks you!” and gave high fives all around. She was so excited and proud of herself she had to show her big, neon pink bandaid to the 16 year old Baskin Robins guy who scooped her Daiquiri Ice and tell him all about it too.???? With each stage I think it can’t get any cooler…and it just does.❤️
