“Mrs. Graf, I’d like to ask Kirsta to prom, are you ok with that?”

These are words that you hope to hear as a mama someday, wanting for them to be loved and accepted as you love and accept them…perfectly- just the way they are.

“Aleks and Kirsta had been pals since they were young. As Aleks and all his buddies were trying to arrange prom he said to his mom…”Mom, I’m gonna ask Kirsta, that’s who I want to take to prom.” The rest is history…pictures at the park, dinner, lost, late, dessert, dancing….(spying parents!) What a night! Aleks actually showed up to support Kirsta her first day at @Bethelumn because he is such a good friend still and knew she was nervous about her first day.

All of Kirsta’s life we invited kids in to our world. We invited them over for birthday parties and church stuff, Young Life and cast parties…any time we could. So I think because we included them all along the way in our journey. They naturally included her. Inclusion goes both ways.”

Thank you @aliciagraf90 for sharing some of Kirsta’s story AND for being a pioneer for us with younger kiddos!! We are so proud of her and cannot wait to see what she accomplishes in her lifetime!!!
