Sam Hazeltine:

On Friday, May 15, 2015, under the live oaks in the Cistern Yard at the College of Charleston Samuel Francis Cusick Hazeltine strode across the stage and accepted his Certificate of the REACH Program marking the culmination of his four years at the College. Sam’s fanatical love of team sports directed his area of study.  His area of Concentration was Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching and an emphasis on Physical Education. During his sophomore year a Charleston company, GenMoves, approached Sam to participate as an instructor for a research project at a nearby childhood development center.  From then on Sam worked many of his internships for GenMoves, learning their whole operation: assembling their trademarked physical education equipment, attending investor meetings and coaching soccer camp during the summer.  After graduation Sam continues to work for GenMoves helping with their summer soccer camps. Sam hopes his educational credentials and good work ethic will land him a full time position with the company this fall.

Summer 2015 finds Sam living back at home and undergoing domestic boot camp. In addition to working he will practice the life skills of shopping, cooking healthy meals and learning how to properly clean his living space. Come fall Sam will move to his first apartment.  He recently decided he may be ready to get his driver’s license.  So, driver’s training is on the list for summer.  He would like to get his license so he could drive a low speed vehicle around his neighborhood, to the store and to see friends.

We look forward to his next big adventure whatever that may be.

May 15th is officially Sam Hazeltine day in South Carolina.  Check out the story below:
