Mikayla can’t wait to start Bethel University this fall!!! She loves to paint and is also an award winning dancer. Mikayla choreographs and performs her own dances in which she takes to local competitions and has won awards. She mentors younger dancers, loves to work with kids and hopes to someday become a pre-k teacher. Mikayla was crowned Minnesota Miss Amazing Jr Miss 2015. As queen she was able to be a spokesperson for individuals with special needs.
She was inducted into the National Dance Honor Society in 2015, also participates in level 3 gymnastics and loves to golf!! In between all of her other activities, she is part of a dance group that provided arts camp to orphans in Haiti, has interned as a teacher’s aide and now works in a salon.
She says, “Dancing is my passion. If I hear music, I am choreographing a dance.”
