Addie Trout

There’s a lot to celebrate for Addie Trout this year. She’s continuing her studies as a sophomore in the University of Oklahoma Sooner Works program, and doing it as this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Jacob Gormly Scholarship recipient, focusing on Education and Journalism with an expected graduation of Spring 2029.

Addie has her sights set on speaking engagements and hopes to one day work as a teacher’s assistant, sharing her love of learning with others. Outside the classroom, swimming is where she truly thrives: this summer, she’s headed to the USA Games in Minnesota to compete.

Being selected as a RUFNEK Lil Sis at OU is one of Addie’s proudest achievements, connecting her to a tight-knit campus community that’s become like family. She was also recently named the Voc Rehab Transition Client of the Year, a well-earned recognition of just how far she’s come.

Between her Sooner Works classes, her RUFNEK sisters, and her training in the pool, Addie is proving there’s no limit to what she can do. Good luck at USA Games this summer, Addie. Boomer Sooner!
