Alex Camille Smith

Alex Camille Smith is heading back to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for her second year this fall, supported by the Ruby’s Rainbow Odin’s Odyssey Scholarship Award, and continuing her studies in Hospitality with her sights set on a career in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Alex is a woman of many talents. She loves to cook, sing, and swim, and you can regularly find her at the gym or grabbing a meal out with friends. Swimming holds a special place in her heart: at the 2022 USA Games, she took home the gold medal in the 50-yard backstroke.

As she heads into her second year at ULL, Alex is excited to keep building her hospitality skills and get one step closer to a career doing what she loves: making people feel welcome, whether that’s in a restaurant, a hotel lobby, or anywhere else guests need a warm smile.
