Maxwell will begin his first year as a Cutting Edge student at Edgewood College in Wisconsin, where he plans to take courses toward his goal of a career in sales and marketing.
Maxwell is an Eagle Scout who joined the 300 Club by doing over 300 hours of volunteer work, much of it doing blood drives for the BloodCenter of Wisconsin. He has competed at state level in Special Olympics swimming, basketball and snowshoeing. In high school, he was active in the Chess Club and student government. He currently works at Goodwill and also has job experience at a local resort.
In his scholarship application, Maxwell wrote, “A scholarship would help me with my goals to be a self-advocate and to be independent.” He added, “I strive my best as I can to be an official community volunteer.” We are impressed by your civic-mindedness, and we believe in you, Maxwell! Keep on rockin’ it at Edgewood!
