Mary Catherine will start her first year in the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University this fall. She plans to learn to be more independent so she can be ready for the work force. Her goal is to pursue a career in the fashion industry.
In high school, Mary Catherine was involved in numerous groups and activities, including Thespians and varsity cheerleading. She was involved in several plays such as Legally Blonde, Hair Spray and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. She works at a yogurt shop and is currently working on developing her independence by living in the basement apartment at her parents’ home. She cooks and cleans on her own and schedules her own transportation.
In her scholarship application, Mary Catherine wrote that earning a Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship “would be like having my own cheerleader rooting me on.” We are definitely rooting you on, Mary Catherine! We can’t wait to see what you achieve in college and beyond!
