Dan says that “In high school I made people happy and they liked it. I like to be happy-be friends. At football games they chant “Dan the Man” and I wave at crowd. They call me “big man on campus” and I won homecoming king.” Dan also participated in swimming and track and field where he lettered in both all four years! He was awarded membership into the National Honor Society in 2015 and won the Coach John Comstock Award for team spirit and sportsmanship in 2015.
Dan also participates in YMCA challenger sports and activities and is active with the Down Syndrome Guild in Kansas City. He works at Lakeview Village and in his free time loves to hang out with his friends.
Dan is excited about college and is attending the Propel program at the University of Missouri. He knows he will learn the skills needed to be successful in life. Dan wants to be able to live and work independently after college.
