“Her Down syndrome is not going away.”

I am not going to lie, this was emotional for all of us. What I loved so much about this visit with Ali though was all of the honesty and truth. We all have dreams of independence for our kids one day- disability or not- and for them to find their passion in life. To feel worthy and loved. My hope for Ruby is to be able to build on her strenghts and always be there to help when she needs it, stretching that independence along the way. It was so beautiful to see the love between Ali and Rebekah and see what impact they both have on each other.
