“Taco Wednesday can be a thing too, right?”

Let’s talk benefits here, people. What are the perks of hiring someone with a disability? Among many things, people with disabilities are reliable employees and have an overall higher job retention rate.

Many studies have shown that people with disabilities take fewer days off and typically stay on the job longer than non-disabled workers.

And….oh, the days of waiting tables. I stand by the fact that ALL people should work in the restaurant biz for at least a year in their lifetime. Can I get an AMEN?! I LOVED the energy of the restaurant and being able to meet new people…and feed them!! And SO MANY great life lessons learned: patience, memory, quick-thinking skills, kindness and just overall people skills. I also met some of my closest, lifelong friends during those years, and I hope my girls are lucky enough to have some of the experiences I had!
