Grace will begin her first year in the Beyond Access program at the University of Connecticut. Her goal is to become a school therapist because “they can instill hope in students’ eyes, and maybe one of them will help change the world, as I hope to do myself.”

In middle and high school, Grace was active in cheerleading as well as in clubs like the Gender Sexuality Alliance and Young Democrats. She has also been on the Honor Roll since seventh grade. She works at a local grocery store as a baker and clerk, and also volunteers with a church group dedicated to helping rebuild Hartford, CT. About her volunteer work, Grace wrote, “I honestly love being involved in my community and seeing people smile.”

We think you are so inspiring, Grace! We know you’ll keep on rockin’ it in college!
