Brittany Norrod is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Stella and Ryder Family Scholarship Award recipient. She will be attending the University of Tennessee at Knoxville this fall as a student in the FUTURE Program. In high school, she was active in Special Olympics and was named Athlete of the Year. She was also nominated to the Homecoming Court. She works at PetSmart taking care of cats (and she loves her cat, Leo!), and volunteers at an assisted-living facility, where she helps the residents with nail care. She also volunteers at her local library, where she helps with story time and crafts.
Brittany loves to journal every day and hopes to become a writer. She also loves music and dancing, and is very excited to go to college and try new things. We know you’re going to keep on rockin’ it at UT, Brittany — way to go!
