2023

Molly is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow William Yahnke Scholarship Award. This fall she begins her first year in the BUILD program at Bethel University, where she plans to study arts and communication. She says, “I am so excited to go to college and live on campus in the dorm! It is my dream come true.”

Molly also plans to sing in the campus choir and bowl with the Special Olympics bowling team in college. After she graduates, she plans to work in a bakery, live with friends and have a pet. A visual artist, she loves painting and drawing and would love to show her work in a gallery someday.

Molly is an avid dancer with a group called UpDown Funk. She also loves being with her friends and attending Young Life camp every summer. She has worked as a grocery bagger at a local grocery store for the past two years and loves it. In the summer, she works and learns at a local farm, and was an intern there this year, helping to fulfill their CSA program. In high school, she was the Minnesota State Champion for Adapted Bowling.

Her favorite color is red, her favorite animal is her cat Daisy, and she loves Sour Patch Kids candy.

We are so proud of you, Molly! It’s so exciting to see you making your dreams come true!
