Kirra is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Ginny Trawick Scholarship Award. This fall she is thrilled to begin her sophomore year in the Redwood SEED Scholars program at UC Davis. After she graduates from college, she plans to be an advocate for people with disabilities. She wants to use her knowledge of American Sign Language to be an ASL interpreter for music.
Kirra is a fun-loving, caring, enthusiastic ball of energy! She loves to be around others and motivate them to be the best version of themselves. Her hobbies include dancing, singing and surfing. She is very proud to have been the very first young person with Down syndrome ever to become an LA County Junior Lifeguard.
