Kelly is a four-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Team Hazelnut Scholarship Award. This fall she begins her senior year in the RISE UP advanced program at Judson University, where she is studying Christian children’s ministry. She will live in her own apartment this year at college. After she graduates, she plans to live independently and have a good job.
In addition to classes and two part-time paid jobs this year, Kelly played Special Olympics basketball, participated in a bell choir, took guitar lessons and yoga classes, and participated in a peer mentoring group. She loves baking and watching Harry Potter movies.
