Jane is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Nella Hampton Scholarship Award. This fall she begins her freshman year in the Ready For Life Academy at Calvin University, where she plans to study early childhood education. Jane is looking forward to getting as involved as possible at Calvin in all the things she loves. She also hopes to work with young children after she graduates from her program.
Jane loves most sports and plays on basketball and softball teams. She loves travelling and has visited more than 10 different countries. She is also an avid music lover, especially country music. She is very proud of the fact that she has worked at her job for almost three years, as well as at an internship with her local school district’s Early Childhood Center. In her final semester in high school, she auditioned for a part in the spring musical and made it.
