Lucas is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Jacob Gormly Scholarship Award. He is a sophomore in the ELEVAR program at the University of North Texas, where he was one of five students in the program’s first cohort last year.
Lucas is studying musical theater and dance at UNT. Acting is an Archibald family tradition: Lucas has been acting his whole life, and his three brothers are also actors. His favorite roles and productions have been The Town Mayor and The Carpet in Beauty and the Beast, Sandy the Dog in Annie, Bert in Mary Poppins, and Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid.
An avid traveler, Lucas has loved eating pizza in Italy, snorkeling in Cozumel, and witnessing the Northern Lights in Alaska. He also loves attending Broadway shows in New York City with his brother and sister-in-law. At UNT, he enjoys working with the cheerleading and dance programs. He is proud to live independently at school and is very excited to see what’s in store for him in his sophomore year. He says, “Go Mean Green!”
