Hari is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Rowan Eichler Scholarship Award. A sophomore in the TerpsEXCEED program at the University of Maryland, he is proud to be one of two students in the program’s first cohort. He loves living on campus and hanging out with friends.

A black belt in Taekwondo, Hari enjoys staying healthy and working out at the gym. He wants to make the world a happier, better place for everyone. He uses his Apple podcast, “Industry of Simple Life,” to discuss how people with disabilities and those without can navigate life more simply, and enjoy the moment.

Hari’s advice for other students with Down syndrome is, “College is amazing. You just have to take your very first step and get over that bump. You will learn a lot. It will help prepare you for your job and for the very next step in your life. Make connections and have a good time like I did!”

We think that’s great advice, Hari! You rock!
