Faith-Christina Duncan is a four-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Accuhealth Technologies Scholarship Award. She attends Valencia College, where she studies American Sign Language and is working toward earning her Associate’s degree. She is on track to graduate by 2024, and plans to be an ASL interpreter. She also stays busy as a motivational speaker and working three part-time jobs while keeping up with her classes.
She says, “I have taken a new motto in the past couple years: Challenge Accepted. My passion is to work with the Deaf Community and bridge a gap. Having a disability, I understand the challenges in everyday life. I have a passion to serve my community. It does not matter what changes happen over the next few years—one thing is for certain: I will continue to work hard at this journey and set higher goals each time. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!”
