Ben Wilhelm – University of Arkansas EMPOWER (Sailor Tracey Scholarship Award)

Ben is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Sailor Tracey Scholarship Award. He is proud and excited to be a student in the EMPOWER program at the University of Arkansas, where he wants to follow his own dreams while advocating for other students to follow their dreams as well.

Ben is an Eagle Scout, and he wants to be a self-advocate. One future goal is being a guest speaker at the National Down Syndrome Congress. He plans to spread the message that “if you try hard, you can do it. Just keep trying and never give up.”
