Ryan is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Greg Cummings Group Scholarship Award. He attends the ClemsonLIFE program at Clemson University, where he is working toward his goals of living independently and having a job he loves.
Last year, Ryan loved watching Clemson football games and managing the women’s volleyball team. He also learned how to bowl and co-founded the Bowling Club of Love with his roommates. The club wound up with nearly 70 members who met up weekly to have fun while developing their bowling skills.
Ryan’s advice for other students with Down syndrome who are considering college is this: “Work hard, don’t give up, get involved in your community and be willing to try new things!” He also says, “I am proud to represent Ruby’s Rainbow at Clemson.” Ryan, we are so proud to have you as a Rockin’ Recipient! We believe in you!
