Paul is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Miles Bhatia Scholarship Award. He will be attending the Integrated Studies program at Millersville University this fall, where he plans to study political science and public speaking to support his goal of becoming an inclusion advocate.
Paul was included in general-education classes in high school and earned high grades. He graduated with a diploma and was presented with the Senior GRIT Award for “hard work and determination.” Paul is an altar server at his church and also works part-time as a courtesy clerk at a local grocery store to help save money for college. For fun and fitness, he trains and performs in circus aerial and flow arts. In 2017, he was the only person with Down syndrome to perform at the American Youth Circus Organization convention in Trenton, NJ.
Paul is also an aspiring actor. So far, he has appeared as a background actor in Law & Order SVU and in an independent feature film, The Path. Paul, we are so proud of you and can’t wait to see you rock it at Millersville!
