Kiernan is a three-time Rockin’ Recipient who will begin his third year at Franciscan University of Steubenville this fall, where he is studying and working toward his goal of entering the priesthood so he can preach the word of God.
His mentors and professors describe Kiernan as diligent and exceptional, with lots of personal initiative. Kiernan’s advice for other students with Down syndrome who are considering pursuing post-secondary education is to “just go and try it.” He also advises studying even when you don’t feel like it! That’s great advice for any college student, Kiernan—you rock!
