Jessica is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Long Family Scholarship Award. This fall, she will be a sophomore at Clemson University in the ClemsonLIFE program. Along with her independent living courses, she plans to participate in Equine Therapy and Swim Team; she is also hoping to participate in rush week and join a sorority this year.

Jessica loves everything about the performing arts, including writing, dancing, singing and acting, and hopes someday to have a career in the industry. She also loves going to the movies as well as bowling, cooking, organizing, arts and crafts, and family game night. Two of Jessica’s favorite achievements are being crowned Homecoming Queen in her senior year of high school and appearing on The Steve Harvey Show in Chicago.

Prior to ClemsonLIFE, Jessica participated in Palo Alto’s Project Access college program, receiving four certificates in General Office Skills. She says, “Dorm living in college is way more fun!” She hopes to finish her program at Clemson and become as independent as possible, so she can reach her goals while making many friendships along the way.

Jessica’s future goals include moving to California to become a film writer, an author and a model. Her motto is, “Don’t limit me!” We believe in you, Jessica—you rock!
