Hari is this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Rowan Eichler Scholarship Award. He is just one of two students admitted into a two-year pilot program at the University of Maryland, TerpsEXCEED. He is very excited to live on his own in a campus dorm and take advantage of many job opportunities offered through his college program.
Hari is a happy, social and friendly person, and an outspoken advocate for people with disabilities. He started advocating for himself in high school by asking for extra time for assignments and asking teachers for help. He has talked about inclusion at his school and local organizations, and his goal in life is to advocate for people with disabilities to be included in schools, sports clubs and communities.
Hari is a state ambassador for the Maryland chapter of Best Buddies. He loves sports, and has been playing soccer and basketball with Special Olympics since he was six years old. He also loves music, singing and playing guitar. He loves to work out and stay strong, and wants to become a Ninja Warrior one day. You rock, Hari—we believe in you!
