Colton is a four-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s recipient of the Ruby’s Rainbow Ellie Vernon Scholarship Award. This fall, he will begin his fourth year in the Compass program at Duquesne University. Despite the limitations caused by pandemic learning last year, he was still able to stay active in theater, Friendship Circle and other favorite pursuits. He also got a bike in order to stay physically active. He says, “I’m slaying college!!!”
Performing is one of Colton’s favorite things to do. He loves music and is currently learning to play the banjo. He has also attended Joey Travolta’s inclusive film camp for five years and has produced his own short film. He plans to pursue an internship next summer in California to gain more skills that will help him reach his goal of working in the film or theater industry after college.
This year, along with applying for and receiving his own Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship award, Colton also fundraised enough money to fund a Ruby’s Rainbow award for another Rockin’ Recipient. We are so proud of you for all that you do, Colton! You rock!
