2021

Baylee is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient attending Boise State University, where she has a 3.64 cumulative GPA and is working toward her Associate’s degree in Business. She is very excited to be a sophomore this fall and to attend campus activities with her friends.

On campus, Baylee is active in Best Buddies and is also in the Boise State University Bronco Dance Club. An avid dancer, she says, “I like to move and express myself with music.” She is also a photographer, and has enjoyed taking both dance and photography courses as part of her college career.

In 2020, Baylee was named the Idaho Miss Amazing Teen Representative. In the summer of 2021, she represented her state at the National Miss Amazing Summit in Nashville, Tennessee. Her professors and mentors at Boise State describe her as someone with a “zest for education” who “brings a lot of excitement, energy and love to the class.”

Baylee’s advice to other students with Down syndrome who are considering post-secondary education is, “If you have a wild dream or want to do new things, do it. It is your life.” We think that is very important advice, Baylee! You rock!
