Walker is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient and this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Troy Drake Scholarship Award recipient. He is in the P2I program at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he lives in an apartment with a roommate and studies the liberal arts. His favorite course so far has been a photography class; he is an avid photographer. He has also been taking music courses and practicing his DJ skills, as he wants to be a DJ someday. He has been active in Best Buddies and a campus dance group as well as a fellowship group with other Christian students. He also loves basketball, both playing it and watching his favorite teams.
Walker’s teachers and mentors describe him as someone with an unfailingly positive attitude who is motivated to learn, and who is always kind, thoughtful and social. We see all of these qualities in you, Walker! We think you rock – keep on rockin’ it at UNR!
