Stephanie is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient who has completed two years at Spokane Community College, and is now transferring to the ROAR program at Washington State University, where she is excited to live on campus with roommates. She loves attending plays and musicals. She is also an active self-advocate who has enjoyed presenting to groups about subjects including the importance of inclusion for students with intellectual disabilities and the supports that these students can use to be successful in college.
Stephanie is proud of the independence and confidence she has developed since starting her college journey, and says that “Down syndrome is pretty cool.” Her teachers and mentors describe her as someone who is curious and a driven learner. We see all of these qualities in you, Stephanie! We are so proud of you – keep on rockin’ it at WSU this fall!
