Sophia is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Incredible Ivy Scholarship Award recipient. She is looking forward to attending the RISE program at Judson University this fall. In high school, she was active in Special Olympics rhythm gymnastics, frequently winning bronze, silver and gold medals at the annual State Games. She is also an avid dancer and cheerleader, and works as a hostess at a local restaurant. Her high school theater teacher nominated her for the Unsung Hero award; her dream is to perform someday in a Broadway production of Grease.
Sophia’s teachers describe her as a natural role model who is full of sass, confidence and personality. She describes herself as someone who loves to learn new things. We know these qualities will serve you well in college and beyond, Sophia! We are so proud of you!
