Grace is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Long Family Scholarship Award recipient. This fall she will join the EAGLES program at Auburn University, where she hopes to develop independent living skills and to work toward her goal of becoming a preschool teacher. Grace’s activities and accomplishments in high school were extensive: She was a varsity cheerleader and was in the Dance Honor Society. She was active in Special Olympics track and field, bowling and Unified Football Cheerleading, was on the Miracle League baseball team, and was nominated for homecoming court in 10th through 12th grades. She was a fashion model for the ARC of Central Alabama and was selected to be Miss Alabama Amazing Junior Teen in 2017. She is also an active Down syndrome advocate.
Grace describes herself as a hard worker who always tries her best. These qualities are evident in you, Grace! We are so proud of you, and we know you’re going to rock it at Auburn!
