Anna is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Drew and Ellie Scholarship Award recipient. She will be attending the Chapel Haven REACH program this fall, where she will be working toward building her life skills for greater independence. She loves to sing, dance and perform on stage, and has been active in Special Olympics swimming. She served as co-captain of the girls’ swim team in high school. Her teachers have described her as tenacious, motivated, determined and persistent.
Anna was nominated for the Connecticut Youth Leadership Forum at the University of Connecticut, a week-long camp for teens with disabilities who display leadership qualities. She says, “I am so excited about going to the Chapel Haven REACH program. I hope to make everyone so proud!” You have already made us so proud of you, Anna! Keep on rockin’ it!
