2019

Molly Carter is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Tessa Mae Allred and Family Scholarship Award recipient. She is heading into her sophomore year in the FUTURE program at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She says, “I was born to be a UT Vol as I was born on the day Tennessee won our National Championship in 1999 — Go Vols!” She is active in Quest & Capernaum Young Life on campus, is a co-buddy director in the Best Buddies program on the UT campus, and was proud to serve on the Social Media Team for the Vision Student Government Association. Now she serves on the SGA Executive Team as Assistant Communications Director; her goal is to assist in making UT a great place for all students. She also enjoyed an internship at the UT Early Learning Center last year, and hopes to work at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital after she graduates.

Molly says, “Being a student on UT campus has opened up so many opportunities for me! I look forward to the opportunities and challenges the next year will bring!” We can’t wait to hear how it all goes, Molly — we know you’re going to rock it!
