Faith-Christina Duncan is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Nella Hampton Scholarship Award recipient. She is very excited to attend Valencia College this fall, where she plans to major in American Sign Language so she can give back to her community and help others who have disabilities. She is also an accomplished quilter and seamstress who makes pillowcases for children with cancer as well as blankets for newborn babies.
Faith-Christina says, “I have a favorite quote by Helen Keller: ‘I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.’ I will continue to strive on this journey I am on.” She also says, “The sky is the limit — do not dis my ability!” We think you are amazing, Faith-Christina — keep on rockin’ it at Valencia!
