Emily D’Eugenio is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Mullen Family Scholarship Award recipient, and she is very excited to begin at George Mason University this fall in the MasonLIFE Program. An avid writer, she has written several stories and fan-fiction pieces. She can’t wait to hone her writing skills at George Mason so she can become a published author. Emily also loves swimming and was a member of the Girls Varsity Swim team in high school. She has been swimming with Special Olympics for four years and has won gold medals in breast stroke, butterfly and freestyle. Emily is also an avid bike rider and mini-golfer, and a great ping-pong player!
In Spring 2019, Emily participated in ArtStream, understudying a role and then taking it on when the principal actor had to drop out. Emily also helped out backstage with moving set pieces. She has volunteered at many job sites; her favorite was working at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT, last year. Keep on rockin’ it, Emily — we can’t wait to see you shine at GMU!
