Elizabeth Anne Stephens is this year’s Ruby’s Rainbow Plachta Family Scholarship Award recipient. She will begin her third year in the College Connections program at Jefferson Community and Technical College, where she is working toward her Associate’s degree. She is hardworking and determined, despite challenges such as being vision-impaired. In high school, Elizabeth was active with the track and swimming teams as well as cheerleading, choir, fitness club and music club. She loves listening to music on her cell phone or iPad.
Elizabeth’s goal is to be able to take care of herself, and she looks forward to learning independence skills in college. We believe in you, Elizabeth — keep on rockin’ it at JCTC!
