Rachel is set to begin her first year at Missouri State University in the Bear POWER program. She plans to develop her independence, get a job she loves and live her dreams.

Rachel is a self-advocate who traveled to Washington, D.C., to speak with Congresspeople about the importance of passing the ABLE Act. In high school, she was in the National Honor Society, on the honor roll and in the President’s Educational Awards Program for Academic Excellence. She was also Prom Princess her senior year and was the manager of her school’s volleyball team. An avid singer, dancer, thespian and motivational speaker, she has been in 20 plays and has given speeches in nine states about loving her life.

In her scholarship application, Rachel wrote, “I work very hard. I am a leader to other people. I like to help people.” We think that’s wonderful, and we believe in you, Rachel! Keep on rockin’ it at MSU!
