Isabelle is a two-time Rockin’ Recipient who was awarded her first Ruby’s Rainbow scholarship in 2017. She is set to begin her sophomore year this fall at Elmhurst College, where she is enrolled in the Elmhurst Learning and Success Academy.
Isabelle has continued her involvement with Best Buddies in college, and attended the Best Buddies International Conference as Elmhurst’s Buddy Ambassador. She has been making friends in college and attending football games, competing in dance and lip-sync battles, and generally having a blast. She has joined the Elmhurst Queer/Straight Alliance and does volunteer fundraising for the American Cancer Society.
In her scholarship application, Isabelle wrote, “I learned a long time ago, never to judge a book by its cover. This has helped me to meet people from all over and we always find things we have in common.” This is such a great attitude, Isabelle. We’re so proud of you! Keep on rockin’ it in college!
