Darbi is entering her first year in the Bridges Program at Purdue University Fort Wayne. She plans to continue her education so she can have a job that makes her happy and shows everyone what she is capable of doing. She also wants to experience college life like her friends, and keep learning like they do.

Darbi is a lifelong member of Girl Scouts, and was a varsity cheerleader as well as manager of the varsity softball team in high school. She was also in the choir for two years and was prom queen her senior year.

In her scholarship application, Darbi shared that “I am proud of having Down syndrome. I want to show the world what I can do.” We think that is fantastic! Keep on rockin’ it, Darbi — you are such an inspiration!
