“I love to learn about everything.” – Dixie Kinchen
Dixie is currently enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University (SELU). In high school, Dixie was very active. She was on the AB honor roll, homecoming court, participated in Special Olympics, SADD club, lettered in high school bowling and was a cheerleader. “I want to go to college more than anything in the world”, Dixie said in her essay. Dixie has wanted to go to SELU for many years and started talking about it when she was in the fifth grade. She will now get that chance.
After college, Dixie wants to someday work with small children, and was described by a teacher as “the hardest working student I know.”
