Ronald Nagel

Ronald is in his final year at East Stroudsburg University and his mom says, “Ronald has matured at a pace that could not be duplicated at home. With maturity, he has begun to take ownership of his future.” Living off campus with four other students and a mentor, Ronald has been loving his college experience. He has been taking courses on personal finance, social and academic literacy, communication strategies and human relationships, to name a few. He is also learning about self-advocacy. Ronald has made speeches all over Pennsylvania and was even the keynote speaker at the “Through Their Eyes Conference” and ESU last year.

He has been in the Special Olympics since he was seven years old and is now a global messenger. He has worked at Staples for 4 years and his manager said after writing his first review, “Ron’s positive outlook, his “can do” spirit, and his willingness to help others far outshine any other difficulties he may have.” He is a hard working employee and valued part of the Staples team. Once he graduates from ESU, his dream is to work in a radio station, be in a band or work for the Special Olympics.
