Stewart Murrieta

Hi, my name is Stewart and I am a mom of the most wonderful little wild child rocking an extra chromosome, Griffin. We had a prenatal diagnosis, and to be honest it was a bit terrifying at first. But, I have always been a part of The Lucky Few, even before we knew about Griffin, and I knew the wonders that a child with Down Syndrome can bring. My in-laws didn’t know what to expect outside of the stereotypical things one hears about Trysome 21 and had a harder time adjusting. It was then that I knew I wanted to change the narrative around it, not just for them but all other expecting and terrified families. And Griffin certainly has done just that for everyone who meets her. She made her grand entrance into this world three years ago, making us the happiest parents in the world. She captures the hearts of everyone she meets and I am truly the lucky one to be her mom.
