I’m Liz! My son, Nico was born on October 20, 2022 rockin an extra chromosome. He was diagnosed at birth, and we had prenatal testing that showed a 1 in 1,055 chance of Down Syndrome! After the surprise of our lives, we embarked on the most beautiful, windy and awe-inspiring road. Nico is our second child, and is his 4-year-old brother, Oliver’s very best friend. He wins the hearts of every single person (and animal) who gets to know him and he is the absolute light of our lives. It may be hard for some to believe that 1 tiny extra chromosome could be the best thing that ever happened to our family, but if you are part of the lucky few, you surely understand!
