When Ivy was born rocking an extra chromosome, I didn’t know what to expect for her future. When I found Ruby’s Rainbow, it was like a lifeline in those early months!
As I’ve grown through this journey, I know now that, no matter what Ivy can or can’t do as she grows up, it won’t change her worth as a human. Maybe she will go to college, maybe she won’t, and either way, we will love and celebrate her every day!
However, I’m so glad that Ruby’s Rainbow exists and is showing the world what people with Down syndrome are capable of! I love meeting amazing young adults each year and showing them that there are people who believe in them cheering them on!
